HOW TO MEASURE

In order to provide an estimate for your project, we require a rough measure of the countertops you are looking to have fabricated and installed. Please see the below instructions on how to measure your countertops. Once we have received the measurements and you agree to the estimated bid, we will set up a templating date so we can take an accurate measure of your project. To measure your countertops, start by measuring the length of all counter tops, base cabinets, and island. Also include the inches of back splash. Now measure the width of the counter tops and multiply the total length of the counter tops by the width in inches. An example wound be a length of 122.

  • Does Urban Stone have stone slabs for sale?

    Unfortunately, we do not sell stone slabs, we fabricate them. However, we do recommend certain slab distributors and have listed our preferred slab distributors above. We work closely with all of them and highly recommend them for their quality, price, service, and reliability.

  • How do I measure my countertops for a quote?

    Please refer to the section above titled, How to Measure. This will guide you on measuring your space properly, so we can provide a quality estimate for your project.

  • How long is the process from start to finish?

    7-10 Business days from completed template.

  • Does Urban Stone install a tile backsplash?

    Urban Stone does not work with tile, nor do we install tile. We do however fabricate stone backsplash, which gives you the freedom to choose different height and design options.

  • Does Urban Stone deliver my finished slabs?

    Yes we do! After your slabs are fabricated, we load them on an a-frame, deliver them, and install them.

  • Do I get to see my template/design before you cut the slab?

    Yes! Once the design has been created (and before we cut) a designer will contact you to go over the design, vein matching and seam locations to ensure you are completely satisfied.

  • How often should I re-seal my finished countertops?

    For long-term care and maintenance of your stone slabs we recommend applying a sealant touch-up every 3 years.
